A bloating belly is something totally unwanted. Yet, anyone can have it at any time if health and exercise are not taken good care of. It can be a problem not just as far as fitting the pants is concerned but also in terms of what is going on inside a body with a big belly. Usually, this happens due to increasing levels of a stress hormone known as cortisol. However, Vitamin C can combat its increasing levels and its harmful effects that slow down the metabolism and leave a person with a large bloating belly. The best source of Vitamin C that one can rely on is the oranges.

Oranges are a citrus fruit and are known for their high levels of Vitamin C. There is also a variety known as sweet orange but this is even more citrus and is not to be taken as anything having a more sweet than citrus taste. In addition to Vitamin C, this citrus fruit also contains carbohydrates which are mainly dietary fibers and sugar as well as proteins and fats. Moreover, there are Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, Vitamin B3, Vitamin B5 and Vitamin B9 along with many minerals such as calcium, iron, zinc, potassium, phosphorus and magnesium. While Brazil remains the largest producer of oranges, this fruit is also grown in Spain, USA, India, Mexico, Egypt, China, Italy, Pakistan and Iran. Whether taken as a juice or as a solid fruit with a soft pulp, this fruit is simply fantastic to taste and is eaten in almost every part of the world. The best part, in terms of health, however remains the Vitamin C content of the fruit.

The Vitamin C present in an orange would also act as an antioxidant. This makes the fruit an effective guard against many diseases, oxidative stress, bacterial and viral attacks and many other unwanted health issues. Along with promoting a healthy immune system, Vitamin C also works very well for skin. As far as promotion of a healthy metabolism is concerned, this vitamin works extremely well. It enhances the rate of the metabolism, making reactions in the body faster and hence, not just keeping the belly as well as the rest of the body in the right shape but also keeping the general health of the body, perfectly fine. Hence, use of oranges can be excellent and especially those suffering from bloating bellies and undesirable figures can easily count on this fruit. An undesirable figure is not just bad to see but can also be difficult to manage as leads to increasing storage of fat and hence, causes fatness and problems like obesity. However, with a regular use of this citrus fruit, good amounts of Vitamin C can be consumed, in turn, enhancing metabolism and burning the stored fat.

Oranges are less available in summers but their juices certainly are. Using these citrus juices can also work well but when in winters, the fruit is available, it can be made use of and one can enjoy wonderful health and body.
